Tasting Notes

Sourced exclusively from our Eyrie Vineyard in the lower Waihopai Valley from 25 year old vines pruned to 2 canes. Fermented in small open top vats to allow maximum hand plunging. Pressed and racked into barrels for a full malo-lactic secondary fermentation and 11 months maturation

Palate & Aroma: Elegant and aromatic with supple tannins and mulled berry notes. Intense blackberry, plum and cherry fruits mingle with hints of coffee. All well supported by fine grained oak tannins
