Lake Chalice 'The Falcon' Late Harvest Marlborough Riesling 2015

You are here

Tasting Notes

Late harvested from just 13 rows of single estate riesling allowing developed sugars ripened with elements of Botrytis cinerea. The grapes were pressed with the juice left overnight for maximum flavour extraction. A cool, slow fermentation delivered fresh notes which then mellowed after a few months settling prior to bottling.

Palate & Aroma: Aromas of sweet lime and bees wax. An elegant wine with a luscious palate exhibiting rich citrus and
dried fruits. A lingering and refreshing finish

Harvested: Mid May 2015
Bottled: November 2015
Winemaker: Matt Thomson
Alcohol: 9.5%
Residual sugar: 96g/L
Tartaric acid: 7.3g/L
