Falcon Vineyard was the foundation site for Lake Chalice Wines, situated in the heart of Marlborough's Wairau Valley and on part of an old river course. Vines must be carefully coaxed and nurtured to grow on its stony, sandy soils. Harvest yields are low but the return is intensely flavoured fruit.
Eyrie Vineyard hosts vines almost two decades old. Situated in the picturesque Waihopai Valley on the southern side of the Wairau Plain, a high clay content in its soil profile is well suited to bringing out the best in the Pinot genus. This 11ha (27.5 acre) block is the single block source of our finest expressions of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.
Located in the now famous Dillon's Point area immediately to the east of Blenheim, Talon block has rich, fertile soil with silty loam to a depth of at least 1.5 meters. Vine from the Dillon’s Point area are famous for delivering thiol rich fruit parcels, a rich flavor compound responsible for delivering Marlborough’s iconic tropical Sauvignon Blanc notes.
