Born to the beaches of Marlborough’s iconic Cloudy Bay, Ben Leggett grew up working the local vineyards and winery restaurants for pocket money from a young age. At 17, Ben embarked on a yearlong student exchange to Argentina opening the door to a world of cultural possibilities.
After returning and completing business studies at Auckland University of Technology, he headed off once again with Europe in his sights, spending the next 13 years working in the hospitality and drinks sectors for some of the biggest names in cognac, whisky and rum.
After consulting in Brand Development for over four years, launching his own drinks brand and publishing a successful online drinks blog, Ben is now back onshore motivated to pay forward to the land, culture and industry which helped begin it all. That, and maybe catch some fish in between.
